A heat pump helps you become independent of fossil fuels, save on heating costs and protect the climate at the same time. Together with our cooperation partner Green Planet Energy, we support you in acquiring your heat pump. With our personalised heat pump advice, you'll receive well-founded answers, a realistic assessment of your options and – if desired – support from our experts all the way through to the commissioning of your heat pump. Together, we’ll find the best solution for your home.
The installation of climate-friendly heating technology is subsidised under the “Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings” programme via the KfW – with support of up to 30,000 euros for single-family homes. You can find more information on the KfW website.
The advisory service offered by our cooperation partner Green Planet Energy is primarily aimed at owners of existing buildings. In such cases, air-to-water heat pumps are particularly suitable, as they can be retrofitted relatively easily and without major structural modifications.
Our cooperation partner therefore provides advice on the “aroTHERM plus” air-to-water heat pump from Vaillant. This model is especially quiet, efficient, and operates using the environmentally friendly refrigerant propane. As a result, in addition to the standard subsidies, an additional government bonus of 5% is possible. The insights gained from the consultation can also be applied to comparable systems from other manufacturers.
With an air-to-water heat pump, you can harness free energy from the air or water – right outside your front door. This allows you to permanently reduce your heating costs and become more independent from rising energy prices. With the right green electricity contract, such as the heat pump tariff from Prokon, your heat pump becomes a real climate protector.
Attractive government subsidies also reward the switch to this environmentally friendly heating solution. We support you together with our cooperation partner Green Planet Energy – from the initial consultation to the installation of your heat pump.
Air-to-water heat pumps are particularly suitable for existing buildings, as they can be retrofitted with minimal effort. For example, earthworks are not necessary.
Air-to-water heat pumps are also especially environmentally friendly, particularly when operated with the eco-friendly refrigerant propane (R290), as in the case of the "aroTHERM plus".
Together with our cooperation partner, we are particularly impressed by three aspects of the aroTHERM plus:
the refrigerant is especially climate-friendly
The heat pump is particularly suitable for existing buildings
The aroTHERM plus is one of the quietest heat pumps in its class.
The heat pump consultation is aimed at owners of:
Detached houses
Terraced houses
Semi-detached houses
Apartment buildings
Residential property owner associations
In many federal states, the state building regulations and noise protection requirements determine where a heat pump may be installed. This is particularly important for terraced houses.
We recommend speaking with your neighbours early on to address any potential concerns and, if necessary, to obtain their written consent. Of course, we will support you with regulatory requirements as part of our consultation.
Heat pumps can usually be retrofitted without any problems in existing buildings and can heat them efficiently. Precise planning is important in this regard. As part of our implementation package, we carry out a heating load calculation and a heating surface comparison for you. This allows us to determine whether your rooms will become pleasantly warm even at low flow temperatures (i.e. with little energy consumption). If not, it is often sufficient to replace individual radiators. Retrofitting or renovation is generally not an issue – except in extreme cases.
To install a heat pump, you need sufficient space: firstly for the outdoor unit, and then for the hot water storage tank, which is usually located inside the house, typically in the boiler room. There are also legal requirements regarding the outdoor unit, which we will of course take into account during your consultation.
After that, we will look at the technical requirements – for example, whether the flow temperature is suitable or whether it is necessary to replace individual radiators. We would also be happy to provide you with comprehensive advice on these matters.
With a photovoltaic system, you can save additional electricity costs by supplying part of your heat pump with self-generated solar power. If the heat pump is already installed, the PV system can be easily retrofitted. Ideally, you should also use an energy management system and a battery storage unit. This way, you won't have to rely on electricity from the grid at night or on cloudy days.
The team at Green Planet Energy will be happy to help you.
